Jeff Dunham Show not Being Renewed by Comedy Central

I read in the news today that The Jeff Dunham Show wasn't being renewed by Comedy Central. I love watching Jeff Dunham but I really didn't like his show very much. I think that maybe he will need to stick to what he does best which is his specials. I have all three of his DVD's so you can tell I love watching him and I think that his comedy specials are the best. So Jeff keep making the comedy specials. That's where you really shine!

Thinking about taking a Outer Banks Vacation

We are thinking about checking into Outer Banks vacations. I think it would be great to just get away. I am really trying to talk my husband into it. I think I almost got him there. It would really be great to get away. I want to enjoy our time together and just to relax. Vacations are such a blessing. Now if I could get my ultimate wish which is everyday is a vacation life would be perfect!

Raise in Runaways Because of the Recession

I read an article today about the number of runaways having increased because of the recession. Some of these runaways are as young as 12. I was soo sad to read this. I think when life gets hard that parents sometimes forget that children are a blessing. Oh, I know they can be irritating, frustrating, annoying and a hundred other things, but would you give them up? I know I wouldn't. Remember when you are arguing about money and bills that the kids can hear you. Don't lose you child tell them you love them today.

When Things Go Wrong They Just Go Wrong

When things go wrong they just go wrong. First the coffee maker broke. You know how awful it is without coffee. Then the shower door came uncaulked and had to be re-caulked. Then there is some places on our wood that needs re-varnished, and it just keeps snowballing from there. My question is does it always have to happen at the same time? Anyway now I'm on the search looking at coffee makers to find the best one for us with the best price. Then on to the rest of the repairs. Sometimes it just never ends.

Reese Witherspoon breaks up with Jake Gyllenhaal

I read today that after two years of dating Reese Witherspoon broke up with her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal. It said the reason for the split was she was feeling pressured to marry. I think that is a strange reason to split up. Which tells me she really didn't love him or she didn't love him enough. Sometimes the time isn't right either. Well better to do it now than later.

Remodeling the Living Room

We are trying to decide how to remodel our living room. We are thinking of re-painting it and buying some new modern furniture. Ours is a little antiquated. I want to redo it in a Art Deco style but, I just can't decide on the colors and design. Also is there such a think as Art Deco style border? I have a lot of Art Deco figurines but I would like to combine the old and the new. I just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Working at Home is Sometimes Hard

Today I worked at my job for GoFluent which I work at in my home office. Then it was time to write for my blogs. Do you ever have a day where you just can't come up with something to write about? I me really how do some writers come up with their topics? I just sit here with a blank mind. Even now writing this I'm still blank. Is that writers block? I don't know but, sometimes this just isn't any fun and today is one of those times. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to come up with topics. I would love to hear how you do it.

I love Dansko Shoes!

I finally broke down and bought a pair of Dansko shoes after my friend just kept bragging about them. She said they were wonderful to wear, but you know I really didn't believe her. I am very particular about the shoes I wear. I want shoes that are very comfortable and I wasn't sure that Dansko shoes would fit the bill. I finally went shopping and tried some on, I liked them, and I bought them. I still wasn't completely convinced until today. I wore them most of today and have really enjoyed them. You might want to try a pair too.

RV Financing in December?

I saw a ad on the TV about rv financing today. I really thought it was odd. You have to remember I live in Kansas so to see an ad about RVs is kind of strange this time of year. I do forget that it is warm in some parts of the country. We just aren't that lucky here. It's kind of like seeing a bathing suit ad in the middle of winter too. It just doesn't work.

Christmas In Connecticut is one of my Favorite Movies

I'm sitting here and watching one of my traditional Christmas movies, Christmas in Connecticut. I love these types of vintage Christmas movies. It is one of the things I like most about Christmas. I love all of the Christmas movies but especially the old ones. Now the only one I haven't seen is Miracle on 34th Street yet. The one made with Maureen O'Hara. This is all a part of Christmas to me as much as the tree and the presents are. The movies help to make my Christmas merry.

Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals Tragic Death

I heard the news on the TV that Chris Henry of the Cincinnati Bengals died today. He jumped into the back of a moving truck yesterday and then fell out. He was on life support last night and died this morning. He was only 26 years old. What a sad event especially at this time of the year. His family has my condolences.

Go on a Ski Vacation - Are you Kidding?

My friend asked my husband and myself if we would like to go with them on a ski vacation. Are they kidding me? I think this would be wonderful to do IF you liked the mountains. I have never skied because I hate the mountains. They completely scare the heck out of me. I'm from Kansas which is very flat just the way I like it. Last April we went for a few days in Colorado gambling and I hated the mountains then just as much as I did on our trip when I was a child. My answer to my friend was thanks for the invitation. I hope you have a great time, but there is NO WAY I'm going to the mountains.

Rented Christmas Trees?

I saw an article that a tree farm is now renting out Christmas trees. They deliver the potted tree and the tree is returned to them after Christmas. What a great way not to waste a tree! I think this is a wonderful idea! Why hasn't someone thought of it before? I think this could really turn in to something. I hope that everyone does this in the future. Do you realize how many trees we could save?

Christmas Time is Time for Family and Friends

We all got together last Saturday night with family and some friends to play cards and games and just to be together. Everyone brought a dish and we had potluck. My nieces love to play a game I think is called Apples and Apples or something like that.

I was drinking frozen margaritas so the more we played the funnier it all became. My crazy brother in-law bought all the guys some Padron cigars and they were just all puffing away. Have you ever had one of those nights where everything got crazier and crazier and at the same time funnier and funnier?

By the end of the evening everyone was laughing there butts off at just about everything. It was one of the best evenings I have spent in a long time. Maybe we can do it again at New Years!

Brian Moynihan named Bank of America new CEO

I read in the news today that Brian Moynihan has been named the new CEO of Bank of America. He will replace Ken Lewis who gave his notice in September, which took everyone at Bank of America by surprise. Brian Moynihan came from the inside of the company not from the outside which hopefully will make the transition easier.

I need a water filter for my refrigerator

I am looking to replace my GE refrigerator water filter gswf. My husband took the old filter off and now the water is awful tasting. I am actually trying to figure out if it would be easier to order if online or go to the appliance center and have them order it. Sometimes you can get things cheaper online, but I really don't know if I can actually order it from GE directly or not. Time to do some research!

Christmas is Coming Fast!

I can not believe that Christmas is only 9 days away. Where did the time go? It went by sooo fast! I still have to wrap my presents! It just seems like time is going by so quickly now, I have trouble keeping up. Do you remember when you were a child and it took forever for Christmas to get here? I would go and look at the presents and even shake a few when my mom wasn't looking. It just always felt like Christmas took forever to arrive. Now I'm on the other end and it goes by too fast such is the cycle of life.

Art Deco Living Room is What I Want

My husband is going to be painting my living room while he is off over his Christmas vacation. Now I want to find some Art Deco home lighting. I love the look of Art Deco so I have found some great Art Deco prints to hang on the wall. I am still trying to figure out the best colors to paint it though. I was thinking maybe gray, red, black, and white but I'm just not sure. Anyone have any suggestions?

My Christmas Shopping is Done!

My Christmas Shopping is done! I am sooo glad! I'm sorry, Christmas is okay but the Christmas shopping is a MAJOR pain in the ass. I guess after 54 years I just get so tired of it. I did get two little children to buy for off of the Angel Tree so I did get to shop for a couple of babies which I always love to do. Otherwise it was a pain and I'm glad it OVER!

Wrinkles, Wrinkles GO AWAY!

I looked in the mirror today and Oh My God I have new wrinkles! So now I'm on the search for a good wrinkle treatment. Talk about the first signs of getting old! I wish they would just make a pill so that when you take it you stay looking young. Now if I can also find a machine to exercise me, and keep me in shape I would have everything. Also lets not forget a pill so you can eat anything you want and stay skinny. Well at least I have my dreams.

Duggar Baby #19 Josie Brooklyn is Here!

The Duggars 19th baby Josie Brooklyn was born today by emergency C-section. It was born premature so it is still in intensive care. With the advancements in medicine today it has a wonderful chance of living without complications. I do love watching their show because they try to be really gentle with their children. They have a lot of faith but they don't try to preach it at other people. In general they are just nice people. Congratulations Duggars!

Christmas Movies I love them!

I have been looking at the free directory that came in the newspaper showing the Christmas movies that are showing today, and all the month of December. Would you believe that they showed better shows before the twenty five days of Christmas shows than they are showing during the twenty five days of Christmas shows? I just think it's weird what all they consider as the best Christmas shows.

I'm Finally Done Christmas Shopping!

Oh, I finally finished my Christmas shopping! Yahoo! It seems to me that it is more and more of a hassle every year to get the Christmas shopping done. I know it sounds like Scrooge, but I guess I'm tired tonight. Now I just have to wrap it all and get ready for Christmas. Well, lets hope I have a better outlook tomorrow.

Which is the Best Life Insurance?

I have been searching the Internet for life insurance leads that will show me the best product for the best price. My husband and I want to change companies we're just not sure who to go with. Why can't it be easy? Either they have what we want and it costs too much or they don't have what we want. The other problem is if we do find what we want we don't recognize the company so then we don't know if it's safe to deal with them. Anyone have any suggestions?

What has happened to eBay?

I use to sell on eBay and quit to move on to other things. I came back a few days ago and went on the sellers forum to read what they sellers are saying and looked around the eBay site, they have changed it so much. It is so sad for a company that makes millions off of little sellers they sure are mean to them. Yes, there are some bad apples in the seller community like there is everywhere but, all the sellers especially the little guys have been made to pay for it. Unscrupulous buyers leave nasty negative feedback and the sellers have no recourse. Why is that eBay? Don't get me wrong there are many good buyers, but as always some bad apples ruin it for innocent people. I am saddened and disappointed in eBay. You can not purposely hand out bad Karma like they do without it coming back to in you in spades. So it will be a great day to see when eBay gets theirs.

Vacation - Where to Go Decisions, Decisions

Ok we are trying to decide where to go on vacation. I have checked in to a lot of different vacation rental places and I think myrtle beach vacation rentals offer the best options. It looks like a lot of fun. Right now I don't live any where near there and I think it would be a great change and a chance to get away. I CAN'T WAIT!

Tiger Woods Dropped by Gatorade

I read in the news that Tiger Woods was dropped by Gatorade. Surprise, Surprise. Anyone shocked by this? Anyone? Gatorade said it has nothing to do with recent accident and scandal, but is that really the truth? No one knows but Gatorade.

Computer Upgrade?

I think it's time for a computer upgrade. I want them to add a Custom usb drive and to increase the ram on my computer. I would also like to buy a new monitor but I have two 19 inch monitors so I don't really need one. I try to make my computers last as long as possible since you have to replace them so often. We have three computers so having to replace them is expensive! Hopefully, this upgrade will make them last a while longer.

Obama Worried About Energy Efficiency? How About Jobs?

Obama is in Copenhagen and is also helping draft a bill to promote energy efficiency. Do you know my thoughts on this? It's all good to do when people are working and the economy is good, but when people aren't working and are worried about paying their bills worrying about energy efficiency is the LAST thing on their minds. Come on Obama get with the program!

Contemporary Jewelry is one of my true weaknesses. I love rings, bracelets, necklaces, you name it I love it. So needless to say I went online and showed my husband all the things I wanted for Christmas. HINT, HINT! I always give him 5 or 10 choices and he picks two or three things to give me for Christmas, depending on the price. I have a big secret though. Do I really wear all of this jewelry? Yes, but not at the same time.

Did you Watch the Charlie Brown Christmas Special?

I love Charlie Brown really. Honestly, my favorite character is Linus. Well tonight was the Christmas TV show. It's an old special that has been on for years, but I still love it. I love all the new and old Christmas shows and movies so this is my favorite time of the year. I get to watch the shows and now it's snowing whats not to like? OK I really hate snow but the rest is great.

I'm Looking for a New TV

OK my husband and I decided we want a HD TV for Christmas so that's what we are giving each other. Now the problem is deciding which one is best. We went to different stores yesterday and looked and I really liked the Samsung TV. I didn't think the price was too bad either. The big question is will the price be better after Christmas? Since this is the question I think we are going to keep watching and maybe buy at the after Christmas sales.

Snow, Snow, All I See is Snow!

I live in Kansas and it has snowed here. BIG TIME! I suspect that we will have at least a foot of snow when it's all over. Did I happen to mention that I HATE snow? People always talk about how beautiful snow is and how they want a white Christmas. All I see is wet, slushy, ucky stuff, and as far as a white Christmas? BAH HUMBUG!

My husband finally admitted yesterday that his Friar Tuck look was getting to him. He decided that maybe he needed to see what we could find to help with it. So now I'm on the search for the best hair loss products available. I would love him to do something because when he complains I get to hear about it.
