Steve Fossett the end of an era

Today's news said they found some cards, and money belonging to Steve Fossett near Mammoth Lake. The loss of this man was the end of an era. He really reminded me of Howard Hughes. They were both adventurers, and pilots. They both thought outside the box, and tried new things. They didn't always succeed, but at least they tried. I haven't heard of anyone else being this adventurous recently. I live in Salina, Kansas where he took off and landed for his global flight of the GlobalFlyer. It was a once in a lifetime experience. It was a very weird looking plane, but it did everything they said it would do. He will be missed.
